Spatial statistics is concerned with the analysis of data that have a coordinate system attached, either geographical or not. In this talk we present some open problems that could be of interest to probability researchers. Among these problems, we deal with the issues related to the space-time surveillance of a point process and with the behavior of a spatial scan statistic.
